<p>Yamaha is a global concern that employs about 4,000 people in the United States.</p><p>Yamaha was founded by Torakusu Yamaha, who in 1887 built and marketed as the first bicycle in Japan out of a 15-cent loan and three carpenter's saws. Their first commercial production was not until 1894 since motorized vehicles were forbidden from commercial roads outside of towns. In 1955, Yamaha started producing FM radio and television receivers such as the RF-80 and YF-200. Today they make tens of millions of yen with each vehicle they sell.</p><p>The company has had its own unique identity at home which was often opposing to military aeroplanes during World War II because that mechanism 'threatened the spirit of their bicycles'. They like to portray themselves as a pure , ethical company that only cares about its customers and employees by giving them a product that is excellent for the environment.
