As of December 31, 2016, Tim Hortons had 4,623 restaurants in ten countries worldwide: 3,630 in Canada; 866 in the United States; and 29 in the Middle East.</p><p>Tim Hortons has been publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange since 1995. In October 2006, Tim Hortons merged with Burger King Worldwide Inc., forming a new company under the name Restaurant Brands International Inc.</p>
