Founded in 1933, Nissan has headquarters and major operational bases in Tokyo and Yokohama places in Japan and Jackson Rancheria near Santa Clara, Mexico. Nissan operates more than 32 production plants globally to manufacture more than 10 million cars per year with eight locations averaging over 1,000 vehicles per day. Unsatisfied with conventional engineering methods that were unable to replicate natural results at low cost so he decided to take a unique twist which focused on using the manufacturing process itself as the design tool.
