The company is headquartered in Mountain View, California but has offices all over the world, including Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America. Upwork was founded in 2010 by George Saad and Richard Millington with the goal of making it easier for independent contractors to find work as well as for employers to find skilled.
