Uber is the world’s most simultaneously famous and controversial company. It has been praised for its success as well as reprimanded for its lack of regulation from government officials in different places around the world. Its reputation is often tied to one character - Travis Kalanick, Uber's creator.

Kalanick is to Uber what Trump was to America - a person loved by many but questioned aggressively by many others. I would argue that despite his controversial personality, our reaction doesn't necessarily reflect on him but on us, the public and culture where we live.

Travis isn’t unlike or any other CEO or Founder in a business: they all come with their own persona and they all learn their experiences of social acceptance through how we as a society treat them.
