Born on April 23rd, 1909 as Kisaburo Suzuki in Hamamatsu Japan, he attended the Faculty of Engineering at Tohoku Imperial University on a Journalism and Pre-Engineering course. He left university after 4 months
After observing excellent performance by American and European motorbike riders when their bikes arrived in Japan during the twenties, he decided to move from engineering and become a professional engineer. After working for Standard Bicycle Company and masterminding his first rider-designed bike - did you know he also helped create some of these" great" pieces of engineering? His first racing model banged its way into Prix motorcycles history as pioneering Suzuki’s first victory.
