In the past decade or so, Netflix has yielded so much success and recognition in the forms of Emmy nominations, prestigious awards, and a staggering increase in its customer base from 50 million to 125 million.

Netflix’s CEO, Reed Hastings established Netflix back in 1997 with a goal to digitize moving images of films for distribution to 450 non-traditional video stores that wanted to sell DVDs. Since then, not just has viewership exploded but this company is distributing its content globally. In 2017 alone, 100 million customers subscribed to its service in over 190 countries world-wide while revenue surged up an impressive 40 percent.
