Motorola Inc. is a mobile phone company founded in 1928 by Paul V. Galvin and C. L. Griswold in Chicago, Illinois, United States, today based in Schaumburg, Illinois which dates back to the 19th century as South Works Engineering Company.
Commenced its first short wave radio telephone service on August 20th, 1927 and commercialized that service one year later on February 1st according to the Articles of Incorporation filed on March 13th 1928 along with the release of Motorola's first factory-made commercial radio production transmitter (a time-sharing system). In 1946, Western Electric acquired the company.
Consequently, in 2014 white manufacturer ceased production of under $200 mobile phones due to slow global sales growth depriving within market share
