The Texans compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference South division.</p><p>The Texans joined the NFL in 2002 as an expansion team after Houston’s previous franchise, the Houston Oilers, relocated to Nashville and became the Tennessee Titans.</p><p>In their first two seasons, they went 3-13 and 4-12 respectively. In 2004, they had their first winning season with a 9-7 record. They would go on to win three more games than they lost for five consecutive seasons from 2010 to 2014.
