About Corus Brand
Corus is a Canadian media and broadcasting company. It owns over 40 specialty television channels including the Global Television Network, W Network, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network Canada, History Television, Showcase.
The company was formed in 1999 through a merger between Shaw Communications and Canwest Global Communications. In 2013, it was acquired by Corus Entertainment as a result of Shaw's acquisition of Canwest.
